Hope all of you and your families are doing well and enjoying the summer. As has been for the last 53 years, the summer of 2025 brings us another CASL season, our 54th. The league is thriving and has a bright future. To continue the tribute to coach Tom Gilmore’s contributions and legacy through the Coach Gilmore Memorial Scholarship we need your help.
This fall our 4th scholarship recipient will begin his freshman year at Carroll. Going forward we will have four scholarship recipients attending Carroll every year. This means we will need $8,000 per year to offer these scholarships. With the generosity of many of you and Joanne Gilmore and her family we kicked off the scholarship fund at the CASL 50th Anniversary celebration back in 2021. With this support, Joanne Gilmore’s continued support and with surpluses from the league we have been able to fund these scholarships to date.
To help make sure we can continue offering these scholarships please consider making a tax deductible donation to the Coach Gilmore Memorial Scholarship Fund. Your donation will help give talented young students and their families the ability to afford a high quality Catholic education at Carroll.
Great things are happening at Carroll. Since becoming President in 2021, Dr. Patricia Scott has put on the pressure in the offensive third. Enrollment is up and many enhancements have been made to the academic and athletic programs, the facilities and the quality of student life and wellness for the all the young women and men at Carroll. Here are just a few of the important initiatives that Dr. Scott has led the way on:
- Connelly Wellness Center – the library is being transformed into a space at the heart of the school to support student learning and overall well-being with resources and programs to create a culture that will nurture healthy young women and men who are ready to lead, serve and make meaningful contributions to society.
- Presidential Patriot Endowment Fund – a generous gift from Stephen X. Graham ’70 has established this fund which will provide financial stability and further enhancements to the educational opportunities at Carroll.
- Multipurpose Turf Field – funds are being raised for a new field on the site of the football field. This versatile field will support a wide range of activities and create a high-quality space for athletics, education and wellness. This will also directly help the league continue supporting the Coach Gilmore Memorial Scholarship Fund.
