If there was ever a game that defined the heart of a champion, this was it.

 

Purple wasted no time making a statement. Just two minutes into the match, Drew Warren found the back of the net to ignite his squad and give Purple an early 1-0 advantage. The pressure continued as Logan Jacobs doubled the lead only seven minutes later, putting Purple ahead 2-0 after just ten minutes of play.

 

Pink refused to panic.

 

Devin K. pulled one back to breathe life into the match, but just before halftime Warren struck again, scoring his second goal of the afternoon to send Purple into the break with a commanding 3-1 lead.

 

The second half belonged to Pink.

 

Despite outstanding performances from Jalen Hammond, Nick Booth, and Sam Frederick, Pink slowly shifted the momentum. With 15 minutes remaining, Max Comstock finished a beautiful cross to cut the deficit to one.

 

Then came one of the signature moments of the playoffs.

 

On a brilliantly designed free kick, Nick M. and Comstock executed the play flawlessly before finding Jacob Shalev, who calmly buried the equalizer. Just like that, a seemingly lost match was tied 3-3.

 

Overtime was barely underway before history was made.

 

Only two minutes into the extra session, Luke Adams stepped into space and unleashed an unstoppable laser into the back of the net. Golden goal. Game over.

 

Pink had erased a two-goal halftime deficit to complete one of the greatest comebacks in CASL playoff history and punch its ticket to the championship.

One win separated two outstanding teams from summer glory.

 

The championship between Pink (Caruolo) and Gold (Wilk) was everything fans expected—a physical, tactical battle between two deserving finalists.

 

For much of the opening half, neither side could find the breakthrough. Then, with just ten minutes remaining before halftime, Devin K. struck first, finishing clinically to give Pink a 1-0 lead heading into the locker room.

 

Gold came out firing after halftime.

 

Wave after wave of attack tested Pink’s defense, but goalkeeper Chris R. delivered a championship-caliber performance, denying every opportunity and frustrating Gold’s relentless attack.

 

With 15 minutes left to play, Pink delivered another pivotal moment.

 

Ben Cromer beat his defender down the right flank before being brought down inside the penalty area. Awarded the penalty kick, Cromer calmly stepped to the spot and tucked his shot perfectly into the corner, doubling Pink’s advantage to 2-0.

 

Gold refused to surrender.

 

Just five minutes later, Kiran McCormick produced the goal of the day, hammering a spectacular left-footed strike into the upper 90 to cut the lead to 2-1 and breathe new life into the contest.

 

The final minutes were relentless.

 

Gold poured players forward, creating dangerous chances through Austin Wilk, Joe Hanson, and Simon M., but Pink’s back line answered every challenge. Commerce Fisk, Liam Clifford, Domitos Bostos, and Jacob Shalev stood tall, blocking shots, winning tackles, and protecting their one-goal advantage with championship composure.

 

As Gold committed everyone forward in search of an equalizer, Pink found one final opportunity.

 

With the final seconds ticking away, Max Comstock broke free and buried the insurance goal, sending the Pink bench into celebration and putting the championship beyond doubt.

 

Final Score: Pink (Caruolo) 3, Gold (Wilk) 1.

 

After an incredible comeback in the semifinals and a complete team performance in the final, Pink (Caruolo) earned the title of 2026 CASL Summer League Champions.
